Hiring signals

Which adjacent hiring signals should not be mistaken for file-production demand?

Field recruitment is relevant to evidence supply and competition for experienced staff, but it is not a production-only capacity measure.

Nationwide’s property-adjuster hiring-event page was posted 16 October 2026, with applications anticipated until 30 October 2026, subject to earlier closure. It includes field, catastrophe and flex roles; the displayed Field Claims Specialist II band is $62,500–$115,500 nationally, with an expected starting range of $62,500–$93,500. The page describes travel to properties and both onsite and virtual inspections. Its “remote” location should therefore not be read as desk-only work. Employer page. (careers.nationwide.com)

For a buyer’s hiring dashboard, apply these exclusions:

  • Do not pool field-adjuster compensation with production-only estimator pay.
  • Do not count a multi-location campaign as one vacancy per location without employer confirmation.
  • Do not include restoration-contractor estimating as carrier hiring merely because it mentions Xactimate or carrier guidelines.
  • Do not treat recruitment into a contractor roster as deployed, available or contractually reserved capacity.
  • Do not count coverage, negotiation and settlement responsibilities as removable production labour.

These are recommended classification rules, not claims about any employer’s staffing intentions.
