Test a full operational round trip, not a logo slide or a successful PDF upload. Verisk’s developer documentation identifies assignment, status, notes, photographs, documents and webhook capabilities. Guidewire’s documentation separately describes claims assignment through its APIs. These establish available integration mechanisms, not a working connection in your environment. Use this proposed acceptance script:
- Create a representative assignment in the carrier environment.
- Transfer the authorised evidence and confirm the correct recipient and identifiers.
- Receive the native estimate and supporting reports.
- Confirm that required quantities, photographs, annotations and identifiers survive transfer.
- Return a material correction and verify that the response updates the correct version.
- Simulate a duplicate submission, failed transfer and delayed status event.
- Reconcile the final package with the system of record.
- Export a completed file and its agreed audit history without relying on the supplier’s user interface.
Measure manual handling minutes throughout. Ask who monitors failures and who pays for remediation.
Exportability is a separate acceptance test. Receiving an editable estimate does not answer whether the carrier can retrieve rule configurations, evidence references, review records or version history. Contract and test each required artefact separately.
